I do some searching about RT OS and found this link:
I run the OSversion.vi on PC desktop used as RT target and get Pharlap 13.1 as result.
Since I am using real time 2015, I am wondering why the RT OS is not NI ETS 2015?
Pharlap 13.1 is for real time module 8.6.
Are they the same OS and nothing changes since then?

Most likely they use the same Pharlap ETS version since LabVIEW 8.6. It's not like Pharlap ETS is a heavily changing OS anyways. And NI has since switched to their NI Linux Realtime OS for most new hardware targets so they are likely not doing much with Pharlap ETS than maintaining the status quo and fixing bugs.
The release version as NI refers to it nowadays is not the same as the Pharlap ETS version used to for the OS kernel. The VI you tried likely queries the actual Pharlap kernel version which is most likely just a number. So it couldn't even store the NI ETS string and simply reports the kernel version.
In general it makes not a big difference for you anyhow. Without a driver for your hardware which is Pharlap ETS compatible, the specific version will be very irrelevant.
