Installing labview instrument drivers on the fly

Hi all,

Is there any way to install new instrument drivers to a running main vi as we see in windows when we plug in a new hardware?

Hi mnx,

you could use a plugin architecture for your main VI. Whenever you detect some "new" hardware you can try to start a VI dynamically. When the VI is not found you can program your own routine to ask the user for new driver software provided by you...
