I am currently trying to integrate the CyDAS 8JR into a LabView enivronment. However, this DAQ is not plug and play, and thus is not displayed in the device manager. Cyber research claims that it is installed correctly. However, I can not seem to find the Windows/LabView drivers for it. Any suggestions on how to integrate this into LabView? Preferably without having to write my own driver.
Does the manufacturer of this board provide LabVIEW drivers? If they don't, you'll have to write you own. In any case, only NI hardware will show up in MAX, so to configure it, you'll have to use whatever software is provided by the manufacturer.
In the best case scenario, this company will provide vi's that can be used in LabVIEW. You will need to contact them/check out their website to find this information. If they don't provide vi's, hopefully they at least provide a dll that can be called. In LabVIEW, you can just use the call library function to interface with the dll.
Of course if you bought our boards they will definitely come with built in vi's for LabVIEW ...
