Is the VAS package and VDM free or do I have to buy it ?
No! When I said you need a license I meant a license you have to buy. The only exception for the VAS is when you use an NI frame grabber board which comes with a license to use the according acquisition API from the VAS.
You can download both the VAS and VDM and install them and you can activate an evaluation period of I think 9 days but after that you have to purchase a license if you want to keep using it.

What if I just want the temperature value from the camera and not the image of the device under test ?
Do i still have to have VAS ?
I cannot buy the license as it would be quiet expensive and if not VAS is there any other option ?

Well, I just checked the datasheet here: https://asset.conrad.com/media10/add/160267/c1/-/en/000104366DS02/datablad-104366-flir-t335-2010.pdf
It's very unlikely that VAS could help you with that. They do sell their own PC software to use with this camera and it is HIGHLY likely that they use their own proprietary protocols to communicate with the camera and that no other software will work with this camera.
Sorry for the bad news. All you can probably do if you don't want to buy their own software is to store the image on the SD card and load it from there on the computer.

I would suggest contacting FLIR and asking if they provide (or likely, sell) any SDK that can be used with your camera.
The lack of available information on their website about that camera makes me think it's probably "legacy", which is probably a bad sign, but they might still be willing to distribute an old SDK or something.
The manual I found also didn't look too promising, but I'd still suggest sending them an email/contact form submission. Sometimes I've had good responses from similar companies.
