Interpret 3d model

Ok this is way to complicated for me and I need a lot of help.

What I am looking to do is. Taking a 3d model such as STEP file, or IGES, or BMP. And practically make G-Code (IF I understand it my self.)

the end result should be a way to move 3 motors to get one point to trace the object. For use in a computer controlled 3D Printer.

 I don't want it to be G-Code because then I will need to interpret G-Code. I would just want it to be motor position values. And if possible material selection values.

Can I get a bit more information about what you are trying to do? You mentioned using G-Code. Were you planning on integrating your G-Code with LabVIEW? Currently, NI does not support the direct integration of G-Code into LabVIEW. What were you planning on doing once you generated your G-Code and what were you hoping to accomplish using LabVIEW?

Also, are you looking to use NI hardware to move the motors? If so, which products will you be using?
