We always try to teach / tell people to implement a block diagram on a single screen.
Now... Why would the VI hierarchy span over several screens (to be legible)

That would limit us to writting 1-button dialog apps.
Another plus of the Hierarchy screen.
It now remebers our last setting for including VI.lib as well as the full path in VI label. That bug has been with us since LV 8.0.
Another Question:
Short of copying the key from our ini files, how do you shut of auto tool select in LV 2009?

I always start my programming with that intention... honestly, I do. Lol. Hmm...maybe I can have you convince my boss that I need a larger screen.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you. Soon you won't be able to turn it off. That reminds me - has this bug been fixed in 2009?

I would love to find a way to get this (with bigger monitors):

Yes now we are talking. The sub VI concept is due for retirement in Labview. So from Labview 2010 the sub VI concept will only be available with the sub VI toolkit just 99.95, but 0.0 the first year
(Laugh I am only joking).

Magma,
Yes, I have been using the Dual Headed Dual Link DVI monitors, both at 2560x1600, for development. It is absolutely glorious. Increases productivity. Lets you see the big picture. Put the pallets and panels on one screen and the block diagram on the other screen. Then stretch out a bit.
But be careful when you deploy. If the targets you deploy at have smaller screens, you can get yourself into trouble.
And be supper careful about font size on these monitors, because they might appear different sized when you deploy your code on other computers with more modest displays. You won't believe how much trouble I got into for this one.
The prices for these monitors are not that unreasonable these days. A must have for any type of coder.
Kevin.

I usually use dual 24" 1920x1200 screens (undersized, I know). The funny thing is the main target screen I've been working with is a 12" 1024x768 industrial LCD.
I don't think any kind of automated FP resize functionality made it into LV2009 though.
