Hi, Derek.
Just to make sure I've got the facts straight, let me repeat back to you my impression: you're creating a remote front panel using the Web Publishing Tool, running the LabVIEW web server on computer A, and then trying to access the VI remotely from a web browser from computer B. Doing so causes something to crash. If you access the VI through a web browser from machine A, there's no crash. Am I correct?
On top of that, let me ask you some other questions:
What OS are you using (on both computers)?
What version of LabVIEW (on both computers)?
Have you loaded the corresponding version of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine on computer B?
If not, try that and let me know what happens.
If so, please go to Control Panel>>National Instruments Software>>Edit on both machines and tell me what versions of the run-time enginer are listed.
Does this hapepn with more than one VI, or is this the only VI that causes the problem?
Tell me more about the crash:
Does the web browser crash, or does the plugin/VI crash within the web browser?
How far does the remote panel get before the crash occurs?
Does it crash before the frame appears, or does the download progress bar appear?
Does it fully download?
Can you see the front panel?
What browser are you using? What version? Is it the same browser/version on both computers?
Let me know. Have a nice afternoon!
