Is NI-DAQdx a seperate install?

Greetings,

This is the first time I have used Labview. I am using version 8.2 and trying to set up an edge tracking system using a firewire camera. The camera is a Imaging Source DMK 21F04. When I plugged the camera in to the computer it was not recognized by NI-MAX. Do I need to install NI-DAQdx for MAX to recognize the camera or is there something else I am missing?

Nevermind, mods please delete. I just found out that NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras is a seperate installation.

My future posts should have less obvious answers.
