I got it. You are right. The Max don't need to find the adapter. labview can control it through the DLL file. Thank you anyway.

I thought I would mention here that we update the OneWire utilities package much more frequently on our website than on the Tools Network:

We've added recognition of all 1Wire family devices, reading of many more memory, thermocouple, and other devices (including many not recognized by the 1Wire Viewer distributed by Dallas/Maxim).
