Sure. Connect a resistor in series with your 4-20mA loop. Use a small resistor so that you don't affect the actual current. It depends upon the load resistance of the endpoint device.
Connect differential AI lines across the resistor. Use DAQ functions to set up and read the 6008. Use I=V/R to get the current.
