Hi,
If the server software you are using creates a transparent link which makes the remote USB device conncted to the server appear as another USB device in the device manager of the remote computer, it is possible that this could work although it is not supported.
There are a few things to consider that could prohibit this from working correctly:
1. Having the device manager of the remote system see the USB-6009 as a locally attached device is one thing, but the important part is that Measurement and Automation Explorer must see this device locally as well.
2. With the change in transmission from USB to ethernet, there could be problems with getting the data from the device fast enough. You would probably not be able to sample at the full rate of the 6009.
3. If you are wanting multiple remote systems to use the same device, you would run into problems if more than one system attempted to access the device at the same time. Although I would imagine the server software would monitor and prohibit this.
You might consider setting up a computer system running LabVIEW where the 6009 is located and using the the remote front panel feature so that remote systems could monitor the VI front panel.
