Is it possible to generate a SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) on FPGA?

I have Labview 7.1 and a FPGA 7831R but not the Motion Control. Is there or can I program with LV the Interface on the FPGA? I want to take this card because this card is my quickest.

Dear Caroline,

I am not shure what you definitly mean. Refer to the following URL:

http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/labview_fpga_module.pdf

Furthermore you can take a look in the new Catalog 2005 on page 105.
Especialy the section "R Sries Applications".You can use the board for

high speed analog or discrete control
high speed I/O processing
and some other applications.

Hope this answer help to realize your application.

Best regards.

Caroline,

Yes, the 7831R is commonly used to generate a SPI interface. See the following article for a description of SPI with CompactRIO, another NI RIO target. The interface information applied directly to the 7831R as well
