Is the DSC 6.0.2 to DSC 6.1 upgrade free?

The enterprise where I work have adquired LabView DSC 6.0.2, does it have to pay for the 6.1 version? or I can download an upgrade from the National's web site.

NI differs updates and upgrades. In general minor changes to the version number (second digit after the decimal point) are called updates. Mainly updates are bugfixes and these are free of charge.

When NI changes the first digit after the decimal point of the major version number new features are added to the software and these upgrades need to be purchased.

NI has just released LabVIEW 7.0 and LabVIEW DSC 7.0 so I'd suggest to upgrade to this version. Follow this link to learn more about the new features in LabVIEW (DSC) 7.0:

Hi,
Can you please specify how to upgrade from LabView 6.0.2 to LabView 6.1. I am trying to use a 3rd party tool (SNMP Toolkit for LabView), which only works on LabView 6.1 and up. I can't purchase 7.0 yet, and can only afford a much cheaper upgrade to 6.1.

I went to the NI drivers and updates page, but did not find an update for Labview 6.0.2 to 6.1
