Rammo,
i am not sure what you have done, but there are several points we have to clear up (terminology and licensing):
a) LabVIEW 7.1 is no downloadable version if you like to have a legal license.
b) Traditional DAQ does not support the NI DAQ Assistant (which is different to the Instrument I/O Assistent).
c) If you like to use an assistant which works with the PCI-6023E, you have to use the DAQ Assistant.
d) The DAQ Assistant is included in NI-DAQmx, which is included in
every NI-DAQ-Version since 7.0. In fact, since DAQ 7.5, DAQ includes
only DAQmx.
e) The Instrument I/O Assistant (which is for communication with
external instruments such as scopes or different interfaces as serial)
is included in NI-VISA.
I hope this list will clear things up a bit.
Now to a way to solve the issue:
- make sure that your LabVIEW is a legal version. if you downloaded
something from our webpage, it should be LV 7.1.1. this is an update to
7.1 only! (it does not fit to 7.0)
- install NI-DAQ 7.0 or newer (i would advise 7.4 or newer) on the PC for the DAQ assistant.
- best install NI-VISA as well. you can dowload VISA from our webpage,
the newest version is at the momemt 3.3.1. then you can use the
instrument I/O assistant as well, but not for the PCI-6023E!
- install all drivers (DAQ, VISA) AFTER you installed LabVIEW!
