Is there a "property saver" for LabView 8?

I would like to be able to save all properties at once for any chosen frontpanel object. I found the earlier thread in this forum about the "Property saver",

but unfortunately it only works for LW 6 and 7. Is there still a need for this type of "external code" in LW8 or maybe someone knows a simpler way to do this in LW8? (The ideal in my opinion should be a cluster called "all properties" or similar, which would be available in the property node.)
