Is there a way to remotely view a labview created imaq image output?

The image is generated and displayed by the program itself. I was was wondering if it could also be displayed remotely.

First off, there's the pure NI way. Write your image to an intensity plot on the front panel and enable the remote front panel feature. Front panel monitoring is also possible of you allow access to the host PC and use the ".monitor" command in the URL to poll the front panel.

Then you've got the ever-updating file method. Save your IMAQ image to a JPEG or PNG file. Simply point your favorite browser at the file or write up a web page to repeadedly poll the file.

For a third-party-but-free approach, look into VNC. It is an opern source remote access service that runs on several platforms. You can go to tightvnc.com or realvnc.com to compare the various flavors.

Remember that Alliance Members are here to help. We do this stuff every day.
