Bob sent me a message about this earlier and I've been working through it since last week. The issue was actually that I thought everything was removed, but it was not removed.
At some point, NI customer service had me install LV2019 demo version to fix a different issue, and it turns out that the package manager update that comes with it hides some installed software. The basic overview of how to remove it is as follows:
- Open NI Package Manager, un-check the "Product" check box and then check all installed items and click remove.
- Reboot
- Open NI Package Manager, and uninstall anything left in it.
- Reboot
- Using Add/Remove Programs from Windows, Remove the NI Package Manager
- Reboot
- Using Add/Remove Programs from Windows, remove any NI programs that now appear (there were 6 more in my case)
- Reboot
- Using Add/Remove Programs from Windows, remove all JKI and IVI software
- Reboot.
- Delete any directories containing NI, IVI, or JKI software that remain. (C:\Program Files\National Instruments... etc)
- Reinstall the software you need.
This process takes quite a while, so set aside a work day.
