Actually glad to know you think it is a neat way to communicate with other subvis. And thank you very much for the  suggestion of cleaning the diagram. it helps me re-think the idea repeately. 

 

Here is what I found: I did not check the Vi state before close the front panel. Now everytime before I close the Front Panel, I check the vi property of Execution: State. Waite until it is Idel, then close the front panel. In this way, the subvi wrote data back to its setting file.
