Issues with driver installation

Yesterday I installed the LabVIEW driver for a Tektronix oscilloscope. Ever since then, my mouse and keyboard have been pausing and skipping constantly. Anyone else have this issue? I probably need to uninstall the driver but can't find how to specifically remove that one driver.

How did you install this Driver?  I presume you used NIPM (though you didn't mention (a) what OS you are running, (b) what version of LabVIEW you are running, (c) any other information that might help us to make a more "meaningful" suggestion to you).  If so, run NIPM again and ask it to remove the driver.

Honestly this makes no sense as the vast majority of labVIEW instrument "drivers" are nothing more than a set of VIs that use SCPI commands or a VI "wrapper" around a Call Library Node, the manufacturer made to save you a few hours of grunt work.

But... What driver? Where did you get it? How did you install it?

I've used Tektronix scopes in the past, and some of them were USB only.  To get the USB connection to appear in LabVIEW, I had to install their driver software so it appeared as a VISA device so that the standard Tektronix LabVIEW drivers could interact with it.  This could be described as "installing the LabVIEW drivers" in a somewhat misleading/inaccurate way.

I would speculate that this could be the case and if so, it's possible that this could cause issues.

In my case it actually did cause issues.  Installing the VISA USB driver also registered a program, "TekVisaRM.exe" to run on startup, and I had some miscellaneous issues with that program interfering with my PC.  Disabling the program on startup meant I was able to run normally afterwards.  I would check to see if the same is true for you.
