Congrats on passing the exam. I plan on taking it next week.....
Do you think it the CLAD pratice exams are close to the CLAD exam? Or would the labVIEW online fundametals exam before closer?

The Fundamental is closer, Im pretty sure that is the one? Any way it is the on line exam that once you pass you can no longer take it again. That is too bad because the exam changes every time you take it. You might try blowing say 10 of the easy questions you are sure you know the correct answer to, so you can keep taking the test over and get more practice? One thing that threw me off on the actually test was some pretty far fetched questions on error handling , you might want to to review your knowledge on that section. Also make sure you know EVERY THING about arrays, and read every question carfully, a lot of the time the answer is in the question. I passed first try. But is not an easy test.

Ok I have taken the the fundamentals exam 3 times 1 and 2 I got a 70% (fail) and the third I got an 82.5%.
I have taken then CLAD Practice tests and I score between 85-97 % because they are much easier......
You think I should be ok or do I need to study more?

In my opinion the actual test was a good bit harder than the fundamental tests. It is a bit late for this advice but a good tactic is to use a screen grabber like snagit and grab alll the questions, then you can research the correct answers and see what ones you got wrong. What did you use as a study guide? did you take the basic I and II class?

If you feel unsure about your skills right now than you may want to study a bit more. You could always take the test and see how you do. There is no penality if you take it and fail. NI allows you to take it again. You will have to pay for the test again but you are allowed to take it over. There is a limit to how many times they will allow you to retake the exam in a given period of time but I am not sure what that is.

My year membership is about to run out. Took basics I and II, Intermediate I, II, Advanced, DAQ, a bunch of the I/O classes, Real-time, Lab windows, etc.....My problem is that this is not a major part of my Job (YET!!) so the time I have to practice is limited...... I reviewed the basics book and have been doing the samples online, any that I cannot figure out I have been running in labview to get a better understanding. My problem I know I was having issue with was
1. Formula nodes (practiced and I feel better about this)
2. Feed back nodes (practiced and I feel better about this)
3. Charts and Graphs (practiced and I feel better about this)
My last issues it the DAQ questions.... I
f you don't mind could you help me out?
1. When should Tasks be used in a DAQmx application?
A) IF you want to perform channel acquisition in a distinct order
B) If you want to sample channels with similar scaling
C) If you want to sample channels with similar timing and triggering
D) Non of the above
2. DAQmx channels and virtual channels are a collection of property settings that include all of the following, EXCEPT.
A) Scaling information
B) Type of measurement
C) Physical Channel
D) baseI/O address
3. Where is the best place to adjust the gain for a DAQ channel?
A. the Set Gain VI, located in the DAQmx palette
B. Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
C. the Input Specifications when setting up the DAQ Assistant
D. the Gain input terminal of the DAQ Assistant
4. Under which of the following settings would you not apply a gain to your signal?
A) 10 V signal with 0-5V ADC range
B) 10 V signal with 0-10V ADC range
C) 5 V signal with 0-10V ADC range
D) 1 V signal with 0-10V ADC range
I think this would put me over the top. I plan on taking the CLAD on Tuesday.
Thanks for your help
