KMC Controls KMD-5501 controler?

We have a thermal chamber in our engineering lab that is controled with a KMC Controls KMD-5501 controler. The program we are using currently is an old clunky DOS text based interface that everyond has always hated.

Has anyone written any vi's for KMC Controls?

Preferably in Lab View 5.1 as that is what version our code base is frozen on.

I am not familiar with the KMD line of controllers. Do you know what communication protocol is used to talk to the controller? You will most likely need to write your own LabVIEW code for this controller because I have not found any example code for this device and we do not have a driver for it.
