LABVIEW installation Problem

Hi guys!

I bought a PCIe-7842R Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device form NI instrument, according to the manual ('Getting started with R Series Multifunction RIO'), we are trying to let the data acquisition board talk to the computer, we want to use the that to read the signal from the PMT. I download the LAB view 2025 Q1 Version.

However, when we use the LabVIEW Example finder to look or the NI 7842R device (I followed the manual step4, using the device with a LabVIEW FPGA Example.). it shows no items found, means didn't find anything specific to PCIe-7842R. But I check by NI MAX, it shows the device there, we need some technique help to get start the LABVIEW.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

The NI PCIe 7248R was released in 2009.  It is highly unlikely that any "modern" version of LabVIEW (certainly not LabVIEW 2025!) will be able to utilize this module.

You may need an "old PC" (running Windows 10, or maybe 7 or 😎 and an installation of LabVIEW around 2014 (with drivers and FPGA compilers).

I should note that my experience with RIOs is considerably more recent (say the last 7-8 years), so some of my colleagues on the Forum may give you more encouraging news ...

On top of LabVIEW 2015 SP1, you also need LabVIEW FPGA Module 2015 and NI R Series Multifunction RIO 2015 or later.
