Hello every one
I have post this problem ,but I war recommended to repost it. my installation is as the following:
Windows Professional 7 O.S 64 bit.
Labview 32 bit. 2009
Moxa adapter RS-232 to USB 4ports adapter.
3-instruments with RS232 interface data transfer is ASCII based .
The status : I can not get any data transfer from the the instruments.
while when I have tested the the system windows 7 prof. 32 bit and it is working fine, only I have some garbage of data from one machine which send data on printer mode (Hardware settings)..
My question Can still use the windows64 bit or should I re-install windows.? since the system could be interfaced again with another software for numerical calculation and spread sheet like Excel.?
Thanks for your help in advance.
in LABVIEW I am using VISA functions ,any way e,every thing is working as(with windows7 32bit )I mentioned ....
I got errors from the imstuments themselves when I use windows7 64 bit.
I have PH meter that uses ASCII-commands for read only.
small pulsating pump uses ASCII-commands R/W.
electronic balance just sending data instantly based on baudrate and dividing factor (just some button clicks).
Thanks again.

Do you have the latest driver from MOXA, x64 support may have only reciently been added

If I am hearing you correctly, your problem is actually getting the MOXA USB to Serial Module working under Windows 7 64-Bit. Is that right?
Do the new serial ports show up in Device Manager when you plug in the MOXA?
LabVIEW 64/32 doesn't really matter here. Both would function in a similar fashion. You need to address the problem with MOXA, on their support lines. It could be that the driver you have downloaded for this module is not designed for Windows 7-64.
It could also be that the module has been configured incorrectly, but that is less likely.
Assuming you are using something like a UPORT 1410, you can get the latest drivers for windows here

The device Manager sees the Moxa Port; I used the driver that came with the adapter it support the 64 bit ( it is for windows vista-64I can assign the com port to RS-232 ports). the porblem when Irun the porgram the PH meter is givin error aussiming that the connection with remote device is not properly configured.) I am not sure that could diffrence between it and new driver ,but I will try use the new driver and see how it become..

A Vista 64 driver may not work for a 7 64 OS. the latest driver is prophesised to work with 7x64
