LENZE OPC server (DriveServer)

Fellow list members, and wireworkers



I'm about to start a GUI project including a bunch of LENZE servo drives and
frequency inverters. I'm thinking about using The LENZE DriveServer (OPC
server) for the communication between the GUI and the drives. Has anybody
any experience with the DriveServer, datasocket. Good ideas recommendations
and warnings about pitfalls will be appreciated

Hello Hans,

did you finally use Lenze OPC Server? I am having problems when communicating LV 8.0 ( datasocket binding ) with OPC items.

The problem is that when I run the VI ( just with a boolean led in LV connected to an Lenze OPC boolen item ), I receive the error can't add item to OPC group.
