LINUX RT

Do NI cRIOs having Linux RT running on them have support for Printer drivers?

As far as I think, Linux RT kernel doesn't have in-built support for any kind of printer drivers, but is there any way we can print a file saved on the cRIO's hard disk through a printer.

I don't have the option to connect a host computer, transfer files to it and print it from there as we just want a standalone application with the capability of printing excel files stored on the hard disk. I know the Linux RT platform does not support the Report Generation Toolkit but all I want to do is to print a file stored on the hard disk of the cRIO.

Any leads will be highly appreciated

Thank You,

M@nu

Haven't looked at that, but installing CUPS on those things might indeed be a challenge. And probably a performance killer too. However, looking at the NI package repository here there seems to be some cups packages that can be installed with opkg! Smiley LOL
