LV 2021 stability issues

I have found several potential triggers that may make the LabVIEW IDE unstable and cause indeterministic crashes, especially in combination:

  • Subpanels
  • .NET Callbacks
  • Remote Debugging

Also note that there are also known deterministic sources for IDE crashes.

I'm experiencing 1-2 crash episodes per week. About once per day I receive a "crash recovery" on startup even when LabVIEW exited properly.

Can you reliably reproduce the crash and show us a screencast or give a step-by-step instruction?

The last versions i've had few crashes. A month ago i managed to fill the memory and then everything was borked until i restarted, but apart from that the biggest issues i've had is too aggressive Anti virus preventing me from installing LV or SP1 in general.

I'd start by running a LV repair.

Running out out of RAM during the execution of a .vi can crash the .vi or even the whole LabView IDE.
