LV 7.1 executable with MAX: MAX needs a license?

Hi,

I've an old 7.1 application that we are trying to install. The executable
has an associated .nce file. The installer promts that MAX 3.0 needs to be
installed. But when we install MAX 3.0, it says it is unlicensed, and the
only option we have is to run in unlicensed mode.

That doesn't really matter, but the hardware isn't working in LabVIEW. It
does work in MAX though. I'm not sure if this is related to the license
issue, but I have to assume it does.

Any thoughts?

Ok, NI support told me that this is because MAX can't find a licensed
LabVIEW version.

This should not affect it's functionality. Basically, the message is
redundant...
