Is it possible to open an llb ( and its vis ) written in LV 8.0 using the latest LV 2017 ?

Probably, but my belief is that the greater number of intermediate versions you can save in (increasing versions monotonically), the more likely it will be that you have executable code.  I would like some opinions on this, especially opinions that disagree with mine.  🙂

My experience says otherwise.  The new versions are going to do the same transforms as the old.  You will get the same issues, no matter how many intermediate versions you use.  So just save yourself some time and just open in 2017 and save off all of the warnings that will come up from the upgrading.  You will be referencing them later.
