LV Community 2020 - DAQmx

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everybody, I am new here and just installed the new Community Version 2020 and the DAQmx drivers.

I cannot find the DAQmx Assistant, nor the new Task button. I don't have actually NI hardware, I am only simulating hardware, but that should not be the issue.

Also, also repaired the DAQmx installation. What am I doing wrong? Maybe, it's a very simple solution, I searched for it and didn't something usefull.

Thanks everybody and NI for this community version, with best greetings

Lars

This question has already come up a few times in the past week.  A search before posting would have yielded an answer.

2020 Community Edition was released early.  The 2020 drivers have not been released yet as they are released when LabVIEW is normally released.  The regular editions of LabVIEW are released during NI Week.  NI Week was scheduled for the week of May 18.

So be patient, I expect you'll see the regular versions of LabVIEW along with all the drivers to be released around May 18.

First off all, thank you very much for your answer and a great apology for not having searched enough.

The only problem that remains for me now is to see, how I can complete the Core Tutorials. I either complete them without using the DAQ examples or use an older version.

Do you have another idea?

Thank you again, stay healthy and best regards, Lars

As we told you, you cannot use DAQmx features on LabVIEW 2020 Community Edition.

If you aren't in a hurry, wait new DAQmx release. If you are, try LabVIEW 2019 as evaluation.

Good news.  It appears DAQmx 20.0 has been released.
