I have the NI OPC Server running as a service on a Windows XP SP3 machine. The OPC Server is working and provides data to my LV application via DSC Shared Variables. When I click on the OPC Server icon to use the OPC Server user interface it hangs and does not respond. Hourglass is on the application but I can still minimize the user interface and it is still providing data to the LV application. It does not allow me to close the user interface, if I close the user interface through Task Manager it shuts down the OPC Server service and I lose communication.
Any recommendations? This works fine on other XP SP3 machines, so I must have a setting incorrect. The service is set to run under the current user and it is set to interact with the desktop. The current user is part of the Administrators group on the PC. Thank you.

Hello,
It sounds like NI OPC Servers have gotten corrupted. I would try to repair or reinstall it. Look in Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs and click Change/Repair National Instruments Software. Select NI OPC Servers and click repair.
