That was going to be my suggestion, try a different HDD.  Perhaps the HDD is having trouble formatting to FAT32 for some reason.  Please continue to post here with what you try.  I will continue to give feedback on your issues and questions.

I'm having similar problems using a flash hard drive on an embedded controller. (http://us.kontron.com/products/boards+and+mezzanines/3u+compactpci/x86+processor/itc320.html) Does anyone have experience with running LabVIEW RT using American Megatrends BIOSes or with getting LabVIEW RT to run on flash disks. By the way, George, what's the good word?
