LV2009 licenced without key?

Hello,

i have a licenced version of LV 8.5 on my XP-computer.

Today i wanted to run a compiled exe-file and downloaded the 2009 runtime-version.

Then i installed te 30days evaluation software of 2009 and direct the patch-f3.

And now it suddenly seems to be a full version, but i didnt enter eny keys.

The licence-manager has a green LED at LV2009-Professional Development System.

Or is this the normal 30days view?

Thanks for information.

No, the 30 day trial has a "watermark" on all the vi's front panels and will give you a count down to its expiration each time you launch it. It sounds like that licensed version is under an annual service agreement (get updates, etc) and when you installed 2009 it "phoned home" and confirmed its license. If not, then ??

Well, a 30 day evaluation means you have working version of 2009 for that length of time. What is the confusion?

If you have a labview "watermark" on the front panel/block diagram. You are in 30 days demo mode. You will have a full function pro version during this time.

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

No, this is not normal. Once it shows as green, it is definiltey no longer in evaluation mode, but fully activated. Maybe you found a licensing backdoor? 😉

Could it be that you are on SSP?

There is no watermark on the vi´s (and what is SSP?)

I remember during installation there was a message like "libview found this licence-code xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx- Do you want to use it?".

But i just clicked next, next, yes, yes, next, next.... and didnt read all the messages, so i cant remember what it was.

(I hope it will be possible to uninstall it cleary so i can use my LV 8.5. I saw that for example the licence-manager is also updated))

I think i am a normal user cause all other programs in licence-manager have a serialnumber (TS 3.5, TS4.1, LV8.5) only LV2009 doesnt.

There is one possible reason for this:

You are a member of a volume agreement. If you are developer in a larger company or in educational institutes, your IT might have a Volume License and your computer is configured to retrieve licenses from there. VLAs (Volume License Agreements) are usually SSP.

An NI sales rep once told me that a Labview license is not restricted to any one version of Labview.  Once you have a license, it can be used with any version for up to one year.  Then you must purchase an SSP to continue past that year.  I think each new purchase of LV comes with a one year SSP automatically.  But I'm not sure.
