LV2010 does not activate with our volume license

My company has a volume license on a server.  LV2009 works fine.  It pings the server and gives me a license.

I just installed VL2010.  The NI License Manager shows Dev Suite 2010 as being always available.  Yet when I start LV2010, it comes up in eval mode.  Should it not ping the license server just like LV2009 does?  Are the licenses only good for one particular version, even though we have the SSP subscription?

Mine did this to until I remembered to install the correct license file. I also had to tell the license mangager to use the network license and go through the whole process again.

I am going through the license server.  With a license manager, you don't need a local license file.  Am I wrong here?  The license file resides on the server.  I wonder if the license file is only good for 2009 and previous versions.  I'm thinking that with the SSP, we should be able to use 2010 with our current license.  But maybe the license admin has to ask NI for an updated license to run 2010.

Anyone from NI?  Speak up please.

Yes the license admin (I am one) will get an updated license with the SSP. Until they have loaded the new license then 2010 will not work.
