I'd like to reduce the time and the number of steps it takes to install a machine vison executable that is distributed to many customers. I'm using Installshield to generate the setup file but I'd like to use the LabVIEW "App Builder" to combine the two required Run-Time engines into a single (hidden, if possible) installer that I can run as part of my higher-level setup. I'd also like to turn off the requirement to restart the computer after each install is complete.
As part of my initial attempts, the install builder had me browse to a "nidist.id" but I was not able to locate the same file for the Vision RTE. The Vision RTE only has a file called "vision850rte.exe" that does not have an ".id" file.
Any help is greatly appreciated...
