LVUTIL VI

Windows 2000. Labview 5.1.1
I have just downloaded the latest LV UTIL ZIP file from NatInst. When I tried to open any of the WINXXX.LLB files, all the VIs began to open, and all the VIs gave me an error message about the VWUTIL.DLL and User.exe file (C:\WINNT\System32\) not being a valid windows image. Both files are in the Sys32 Directory, but I don't know why it givs me the error. I have used the LVUTIL VIs in othe companies with no problems. What gives?

gunner,

I assume you downloaded the 32-bit LabVIEW Windows Utility library. In the zip file, there is a readme file that says to place the dll file in user.lib. That is the only non-LabVIEW file in the zip file. I had no problems with the install.
The 32-bit libraries are found here.

Yes it was the 32 bit. Apparently I had downloaded the older version. Thank You.
Note: the readme file says to place the DLL file in the same directory as the downloaded files. The user.lib would also have to contain all the LLB files. I usually place all my DLL files in the System Folder where all the other dll files are located. This works fine, as long as it is a directory located in PATH, when the computer is first turned on.
