LabVIEW 2009 SP1 Install Procedure

Hello,

I installed contents from Fourth quarter 2009 NI DVD (including device drivers). I recently installed LabVIEW 2009 SP1 on top of what was installed earlier. Now, when LabVIEW starts, it shows version 9.0.1 (indicating successful install).

I am not sure about the following though:

 1) Do I have to Mass Compile the complete National Instruments folder in C:\Program Files?

 2) Do I also have to update certain device drivers that go with LabVIEW 2009 SP1?

Comments/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

PS. I am assuming SP1 would be the latest until NI week this year. Correct me if I am wrong.

Troy,

You're right, 9.0.1 should indicate a successful install.

You should not have to mass compile the directory, and you should not have to update the drivers.

Do you have any specific issues you're running into after upgrading?

Thanks, Misha. I just wanted to do a sanity check before proceeding.

I the have not yet started any actual development with SP1. But, I will keep you posted if I run into any issues!
