LabVIEW 2010 and Windows 2000

The Tektronix scopes(10+) in the lab are all using windows 2000sp4.  The scopes are used as controllers and run exes I develop on my laptop that has XP.

It appears LabVIEW 2010 and windows 2000 are not compatible.

Will this compatibility issue be resolved?

Not an option is our IT updgrading to XP.

A possible but unlikely option is Tektronix upgrading the scopes.

All you can do then is maintain a copy of LabVIEW 2009 on your XP laptop so that you can support the creation of .exe's for your old Win2000 machines.

I wouldn't bet on it. That OS isn't even supported by Microsoft, so there's no incentive for NI to support it.

I've never heard of people installing LabVIEW executables directly on oscilloscopes. Out of curiosity, why was that necessary?

Remember that you can install previous versions of LabVIEW and use the license you have for 2010. As long as you don't use both at the same time you'd be OK.

The tek scopes  "B" version of the 5000 series has a built in GPIB card and can be used as a controller in an automated test system.
