LabVIEW 2010 separate compiled code

Hi Ppl,

I came across this interesting feature to separate the compiled code into the Default Data directory. Are there any documentation available for using this feature. Something like best practises, trade off's etc. I feel it would be great feature while working with Source code control. But I could not decide upon going forward with this feature (worried if this will affect the performance).
