I guess that Malleable VIs (.vim's) are not a secret, and could be mentioned already long time ago. CLA summit is not closed, non-disclosure event - at least, I've never seen such an information; and Malleable VIs were presented on CLA-E summit this year in Vienna, in March. So why to make a mistery of it?
Talking about VIMs is totally fine, I presented on them at NI Week 2016 in August. What I couldn't say was information about any NI beta product that I signed an NDA discussing.
So yes VIMs are awesome, the type enabled structure is awesome (but not official), read-only DVRs, forward run-time engine compatibility, and a couple of other small things. Look forward to trying to migrate a project to it when I get back in the office and see how IDE performance is, and if the new features justify an upgrade.

Finally. I'll need to bug someone on the feedback board about the reply feature kicking out via mobile. Or, someone else can pester the admins.
2017 I have already moved a project to it
The tunnel add or remove as needed when dragging items across a sub-diagram boundary was the real highlight of this release to a developer tired of needlessly broken vis.
