LabVIEW 2017 32bit won't launch on Redhat Linux 7.5

Solved!
Go to solution

I am running Redhat Linux 7.5.

I had successfully installed LabVIEW 2018 64bit, but I actually need to install LabVIEW 2017 32bit, so I uninstalled LabVIEW 2018 64bit (not sure if this corrupted something). I also have NI-KAL and NI-VISA 15.0 installed as well as the latest kernel-devel drivers.

I ran through the same installation instructions and did not receive any errors during the installation. However, when I click the labVIEW icon it will not launch. When I try to run LabVIEW 2017 32bit using sudo from the terminal, I get the following error message:

$ sudo ./labview
./labview: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Does anyone know how I can fix this error?

Thanks.

Hi.

This month we released some drivers for linux, you can check the list of the supported ones below.

http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/52786/en/

It seems to be that your version of NI-MAX is not included on the list. But with the LabVIEW issue a possible workarround could be to completely unistall the LabVIEWs versions that you have and try again, but that can have unexpected behaviors.
