LabVIEW 2020 CE & LabVIEW NXG v5 installer doesn't work - what is wrong?

I've been using LabVIEW 2014 Home Edition and been very happy with it. I saw there is a new Community Edition and was happy to make the switch so I downloaded them both.

My problem is that the installers just doesn't work. They just stop without anything being intalled.
What do I do wrong? I run Win 10 64 bit.

Thank you.

Can you explain exactly how you are running the installer. What do you see before it "stops"?

I assume you downloaded the iso file, which is not an installer. Windows 10 should automatically mount it after which you should be able to run the installer.

Also note that you might have pending windows updates that require a reboot to complete. So do a reboot and try again.

Yes, it's an .iso that mounts like a drive.
From there I just run the 'install.exe'.

I get the usual window popping up asking if it can do changes to the computer but then nothing happens. No install starts. There is no better way to say it. Literally nothing happens.
Nothing in the taskmanager either and there are no pending Win updates. It just stops.

Hard to tell what's going on. I assume you allow it to make changes. 😉

What is your OS language? Do you have any unusual antivirus or other "security" software? Do you have administrator privileges? Do you have sufficient disk space?

English, plenty of HD space, no extra antivirus and firewalls besides Windows defender.
The only trace of anything I can see is that 'Windows Problem Reporting' ran for a while without prompting anything.
It just terminates without any info at all.

Strange.
