LabVIEW 7.1 application builder problems when building a Library

Hi All,

I've recently been having problems with building executables from a .llb in LV 7.1.

The application builder will let me build a program from a .llb but it takes a really long time (longer than 3 mins) and when I try to run the executable it will fire up labview and ask which vi I want to load.
Also sometimes after a build like this I find that my computer no longer recognises .llb's as being associated with Labview.

I've been building .llb's in LV7.1 for the past few months without any problems, this has only started happening in the past few weeks. I have a feeling that it may be a network problem but I know my IT dept won't talk to me until I know that it isn't a Labview problem.

If anyone has any insight into why this might be happening or any comments I'd really appreciate it.

Just a few more details that might be useful

I'm running Windows XP with Windows Server (the .llb's are stored on the company network) with Labview 7.1 and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Labview and am still having the same problems.

Many Thanks in Advance for all your help. Smiley Tongue

Hi Sammy

Do you get any errors whilst the application builder is actually running?

Also can you save the build script from a build where you experience these problems after wards and post it on the forum - it may give an insight in to why these problems occur.

Are you able to build executables without having them as llb's? I'm not sure where the problem lies at the moment - it may be a problem with your application builder - but as you say you have uninstalled and reinstalled I would hope that any possible problem would have been eliminated.

Do you still experience the same problem with an llb stored on your local machine?

If you can let me know then I'll look into this further

Thanks
