I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 Variable manager to send the data to the OPC server. We have both 8.5 and 7.1 clients across the application. The connectivity is working fine and we are able to view and transfer the data at the server side. But, we have encountered a problem when we tried to change the server physically. Earlier, the server was working with Server A and for some reasons, we intended to change the server as Server B. At that time, we are not able to move the Variable Manager file from Server A to Server B through a File copy procedure. Rather, we are forced to freshly create the entire Variable Manager processes and variables (Approximately 4000 variables) one more time in server B. It is actually duplication of work and time consuming. As per our knowledge, we could not find out any other option in Variable Manager to move this variable manager file. Request you to suggest us an alternative method which can simplify this work. Or confirm whether it is an known issue in LabVIEW 8.5 Variable Manager.
