LabVIEW 8 Evaluation Copy

Hi all,
 
Hey, Any of you guys have idea as to when can we have our hands on eval. copy of LabVIEW 8 just released ?. There seems to be some cool features!. I looked up the ni.com but could not find a download. When is it going to be available ?.

It is not released.  It has only been announced, or at least that is what I have been told by my DSM.

It's not shipping until November, so I woldn't expect and eval version before that.

But there's rumors that if you have the SSP, you'll be able to download it before it ships.

Hmmm, how long does it take to download >1Gb? I'll just content myself to play with what I have, see what changed in the last month or so when the release version comes out. Hope I don't become too enamored of features that didn't make the cut!

In theory, about 45 minutes.  reality about 1.5 hours. 
 
I have heard the same thing about SSP.  In any case, I am in a holding pattern for it.
