LabVIEW CLD and CLA certifications

Hi,

I am interested in the CLD (developer) and CLA (architect) certifications for LabVIEW.

I am about to get the CLAD (associate developer) certification.

My questions:

1. Do you have to have employed research experience in order to get the CLD and CLA certifications, or can you just take the exams and get the certifications?

2. How much material do you need to know for both? i.e. How many texts would you need to master for both?

3. Is it common that people with CLD and CLA certifications can do research for companies out of their home, all by remote access?
