LabVIEW FPGA

Hi, I am a PHD student in UAM. I have developed a same code with Simulink HDL coder (then inserted into IP block and synthesized for ni7857r ) and LabVIEW FPGA (high throughput math functions) then synthesized for ni7857r.

At first I thought the code that turned into HDL codes with simulink then compiled and synthesized for Ni7857r in LabVIEW FPGA would require more FPGA resources  but my findings showed the opposite!!

I was wondering that if anyone knows that why using LabVIEW FPGA's specially and specifically developed highthrough put math functions are more resource demanding!!! In my case the same code required twice the resource and almost 30 min more of compilation time while implemented in LabVIEW FPGA.
