Odd. I don't see that property disabled on my PC for any of the styles of new path control I drop.
What version of LabVIEW are you using? I'm looking at 2019 SP1
It is possible that it was a bug in LabVIEW that was fixed in a later version.
Honestly, I never thought to look in the properties dialog for that setting because I always use the right click menu for it. And Frozen's message with a screen shot just reinforced that in my mind.
