The Lock-In Amplifier Startup Toolkit can run with non-DSA hardware, but there are several factors (besides resolution) that make DSA hardware more suitable than DAQ for simulating lock-in amplifiers. DSA boards have simultaneous sampling and the PCI-6220 multiplexes all its channels to one analog-to-digital converter. The dynamic range on the DSA is much better than on the DAQ devices. Also our DSA products have built in anti-aliasing filters and the DAQ boards do not. You may need to construct an external anti-aliasing filter to process the signal before acquiring it with the DAQ card.
The Knowledge Base Lock-In Amplifier Startup Toolkit Compatibility with Non-DSA Hardware talks about all of these factors in more detail. Also let us know which settings you were having difficulty with and we will help you out with that as well. Thanks! Best Regards, Jeff Tipps
