Hi,
Looks like NI have updated the package manager and you can't download 2019 anymore - you need to go onto the website and it will only let you download the most current version of labview.
Any ideas how I download labview 2019?
I have a current student serial number.
Thanks

I would contact NI. They should be able to verify your "Student Serial Number" (it is probably a License Number for an Academic License, and they should be able to provide you with a means to access the LabVIEW 2019 Download site). The other thing to check is your school's Software Distribution Center -- they may have either a link to the download site or may even have the Distribution Kit available on a USB drive or on a school Server.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for info - FYI eventually I have worked out that when you download the myRIO 2019 toolkit it infact comes with 2019 labview.
5 hours later and now I am having issues with the software on the myRIO.
I'm attempting to format the device but now it's asking me for an administrator password 😞
I could not open the set up wizard as it was saying there was no software available.
I'm not sure the myRIO sofware is in the list actually - I noted your sofware was called "myRIO".
also I have an "incosistent IP address".... what ever that means!
Cheers

Just want to share my experience.
On february 2021, i finished some clients projects and decided to move from LV2019 to LV2020 (because i wanted to use the hobbyist toolkit).
Removed LV2019 completely and installed LV2020 with all modules that i wanted to use.
the point is: i wanted to continue to use myrio. download externally on: https://www.ni.com/pt-br/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-myrio-toolkit.html since NIPM was not working to install addons (Hey, it is now at the date of this post)
Hell, it did not worked myrio, couldn't find it, couldn't program it.
but since i had other projects comming, i left it aside.
friday 05 of june i finished those projects and thought: "hey! i am feeling courageous (as Bob_Schor said), i am going to try to use myrio" and i found this forum topic to help.
i had no time to take Bob's steps, and the worst thing that could happen is messing up everything, throw my nvme in the fire pit, buy a new one and reinstall fresh software.
Things that i started from:
LV2020, RT module, FPGA module, another bunch of add ons, and of course myRIO toolkit 2019
things that i have done:
when i plugged myrio, the starting screen asked for software. so i went on MAX, updated firmware,
this allowed me to enter on the configuration web page (on INTERNET EXPLORER!)
then i needed to update the operational system linux RT on myrio, and that could be done in MAX on the software item. Installed NI myRIO 20.5.
now i have a fully functional myRIO for working with RT and FPGA.
unfortunately, Bob was right. still no access to toolkit and express VIs.
If you need those functions, do not do what i did.

Hi,
just want to know if there is a LabVIEW MyRIO toolkit Version 2020 released?
Is there any workaround to use LabVIEW MyRIO toolkit with LabVIEW2020 if Version2020 hasn't been released?

Finally made it work and recorded this video.

I have it on "reasonable authority" that at (or maybe a few months after) LabVIEW 2021 is released, there will be a myRIO Software Toolkit 2021. There is no myRIO Software Toolkit 2020, though (as I documented somewhere on the Forums) you definitely can work with the myRIO using LabVIEW 2020, but you just don't have access to the functions (and functionality) that come with the Software Toolkit.
What I suspect has happened (with little or no evidence) is that Microsoft, at long last, is discontinuing support for a product called Silverlight, which works mainly with Internet Explorer 10 and 11 (certainly no other Browser), and seems to somehow be involved with some of the Web-based tools (like the myRIO "Configure myRIO" that pops up when you plug in a myRIO) that NI uses with LabVIEW.

@Jorge,
Congratulations on getting most of the myRIO functionality working in LabVIEW 2020. I made the choice that I would stick with LabVIEW 2019 while working with the myRIO until NI comes out (in LabVIEW 2021, I hope) with an updated myRIO Software Toolkit.

It seems this trick does not work with LV 2021, or maybe we need to install MyRIO 19.5; I can only find MyRIO 19.0 on the website and NIPM now. I'm not sure if NI has withdrawn 19.5? Anyone has some suggestions there? Thanks!
