LabVIEW application installation package cannot be opened.

Hi,

 

I built a LabVIEW application installer and tried installing on a XP machine but got a message "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor and verify if it is a valid Windows installer package.". While building the installer I checked the option that the installation is for a Windows 2000 machine or later and I also verified the Window installer services is running. Any help appreciated.

Does your XP machine have the latest installer on it?

Hi Bill,

 

Thanks for your reply. The issue was actually because of a corrupted installer file. When I rebuilt the installer and tried it worked.
